Q. Do I need a doctors referral for an appointment at Coast Physiotherapy? A. No, but if you intend to use your private health insurance to pay for treatment, you should check your policy as some insurers require you to see your doctor first. Q. How much will it cost? A. £40 per treatment session Q. Does my health insurance cover my treatment? A. We are registered with most insurance companies, but you should check that your particular policy covers physiotherapy treatment. Q. How can I pay for my treatment? A. We accept debit and credit cards, cash or cheque. Q. What should I wear? A. We will need to look at your area of pain. If you have a leg or back problem then a pair of shorts is probably best. If your problem is your neck or shoulder then a thin strapped top will be best. Q. What can physiotherapy do that my GP cannot? A. GP's are highly trained medical doctors. They need a lot of information about a wide range of conditions, aches, pains and illnesses that affect babies through to the elderly. They also need to keep up to date with the latest medication on the market. For this reason it is hard for them to become specialised in one particular area. They will often refer patients onto other professions who are more specialised in one particular field. Physiotherapists are specialists in the treatment of musculoskeletal problems. These are problems that affect muscles, joints, ligaments, tendons and nerves. Q. What are your opening hours? A. We are normally open: Monday:           8.30am to 5.00pm Tuesday:          8.30am to 5.00pm Wednesday:     8.30pm to 1.00pm Thursday:         1.30pm to 8.00pm Friday:              8.30am to 3.30pm Q. Is there parking? A. There is not parking directly outside the clinic. There is a car park behind sainsburys. There is also on-street parking in the streets just down the road. Q. Can I bring someone with me? A. Yes, please feel free to bring someone along with you. Q. How can I provide feedback? A. We welcome all feedback good or bad. Please feel free to contact us on info@coastphysio.co.uk or you can write to us. If you would prefer to speak to someone then please email us and leave your number for us to contact you. If you have any further questions then please feel free to contact us
